💳 Critical Payment Notice
IgetAm Marketplace DOES NOT process, handle, or control any payments between buyers and sellers.All transactions occur directly between users outside the Platform.
1. Platform Does NOT Handle Payments
🚫 THE PLATFORM DOES NOT:
- Process payments between buyers and sellers
- Handle money transfers or cash transactions
- Collect payment on behalf of sellers
- Hold funds in escrow
- Provide payment protection or buyer guarantees
- Store payment information (cards, bank details)
- Take commission or percentage of sales
2. How Payments Work
2.1 Direct User-to-User Transactions
All payments for products/services listed on IgetAm occur directly between buyers and sellers through:
- Cash: In-person cash payment during meetups
- Bank Transfer: Direct bank-to-bank transfer
- Mobile Money: OPay, PalmPay, Kuda, etc.
- Payment Apps: As agreed by buyer and seller
- Other Methods: Any payment method mutually agreed upon
2.2 Platform Access Fee (Sellers Only)
💰 The ONLY Payment to Platform:
Sellers pay an annual ₦2,000 subscription fee to create a storefront. This fee:
- ✓ Is paid to IGETAM DIGITAL COMMERCE LTD (via Paystack)
- ✓ Grants 12 months of access to seller features
- ✓ Renews annually to maintain seller status
- ✓ Is non-refundable under any circumstances
- ✓ Is separate from buyer-seller transactions
3. No Refunds from Platform
🚫 PLATFORM REFUND POLICY:
IGETAM DIGITAL COMMERCE LTD does NOT provide refunds for:
- ❌ Seller Access Fee (₦2,000): Non-refundable after payment
- ❌ Product Purchases: We do not handle product transactions
- ❌ Defective Items: Refunds are between buyer and seller
- ❌ Non-Delivery: Not the Platform's responsibility
- ❌ Fraud or Scams: Transactions are outside our control
- ❌ Account Termination: No refund if account is banned
- ❌ Change of Mind: No refunds for any reason
Once payment is made, it is FINAL and NON-REVERSIBLE.
4. Product Refunds (Buyer-Seller Responsibility)
4.1 Seller Responsibility
All refunds for products/services are the sole responsibility of the seller. The seller decides:
- Whether to offer refunds or returns
- Refund conditions and timeframes
- Refund method (cash, transfer, exchange)
- Return shipping/logistics arrangements
4.2 Buyer Responsibility
Buyers must negotiate refunds directly with sellers. The Platform cannot:
- Force sellers to provide refunds
- Process refunds on behalf of sellers
- Mediate refund disputes
- Guarantee refund approval
4.3 Recommended Practice
✅ Best Practice for Buyers:
- • Ask about refund policy BEFORE purchasing
- • Get refund terms in writing (WhatsApp message)
- • Inspect items thoroughly before payment
- • Request receipts with seller contact details
- • Document transaction with photos/videos
5. Payment Disputes
5.1 Platform Non-Involvement
⚠️ Important:
ALL PAYMENT DISPUTES ARE BETWEEN BUYER AND SELLER. The Platform has no obligation to:
- • Investigate payment disputes
- • Verify payment claims
- • Enforce payment agreements
- • Provide evidence or documentation
- • Participate in legal proceedings
5.2 Resolving Disputes
If you have a payment dispute with another user:
- Contact the Other Party: Try to resolve directly via WhatsApp/phone
- Document Everything: Save messages, receipts, photos, bank statements
- Report Fraud: If scammed, report to police and EFCC
- Legal Action: You may pursue legal action against the other party (not the Platform)
- Bank Dispute: Contact your bank if payment was unauthorized
6. Seller Access Fee - No Refund Policy
6.1 Non-Refundable Fee
The ₦2,000 annual subscription fee is strictly non-refundable in all circumstances, including but not limited to:
- ❌ No sales generated
- ❌ Account termination or suspension
- ❌ Platform changes or feature removal
- ❌ User dissatisfaction with Platform
- ❌ Technical issues or downtime
- ❌ Change of mind or business decision
- ❌ Duplicate payment (user error)
- ❌ Accidental payment
6.2 Why No Refunds?
The access fee grants immediate and perpetual access to seller features. Once activated, the service has been delivered. This policy is clearly stated before payment.
7. Payment Security
7.1 Platform Payments (Access Fee)
Seller access fee payments are processed securely through Paystack, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. IgetAm Marketplace does NOT store or have access to your card details.
7.2 User-to-User Payments (Products)
⚠️ Security Warning:
For buyer-seller transactions, YOU are responsible for payment security. Follow these guidelines:
- • Never share bank OTP or login credentials
- • Verify seller identity before sending money
- • Use traceable payment methods (bank transfer, not cash)
- • Screenshot payment confirmations
- • Report suspicious payment requests
8. Taxation
Sellers are solely responsible for:
- Reporting all income to Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS)
- Paying applicable taxes (VAT, income tax, business taxes)
- Obtaining Tax Identification Number (TIN)
- Maintaining accurate financial records
The Platform does NOT withhold taxes, issue tax forms, or provide tax advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
⚖️ PAYMENT LIABILITY:
IGETAM DIGITAL COMMERCE LTD is NOT LIABLE for:
- • Lost, stolen, or misdirected payments
- • Fraudulent transactions between users
- • Non-payment by buyers
- • Non-refund by sellers
- • Payment processor errors or delays
- • Bank disputes or chargebacks
- • Financial losses from transactions
- • Tax penalties or liabilities

💡 Summary: IgetAm is a listings platform only. We connect buyers and sellers but do not handle transactions, payments, refunds, or disputes. All financial dealings are your responsibility.
